Born in Nice, France, Hugo Lloris is a French professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper and currently plays for Major League Soccer club FC Los Angeles, where he is a former captain of the France national soccer team.
He started his career with his hometown team Nice. His first official game was on October 25, 2005, in a French League Cup match, in which Nice won 2-0, and he moved to Lyon in the summer of 2008 for a fee of €8.5 million. He moved to Lyon in the summer of 2008 for a transfer fee of 8.5 million euros, and in his first season with the team he started 35 league matches and became Lyon's starting goalkeeper.
Lyon confirmed that Lloris' transfer fee was 10 million plus a 5 million euro floating clause, signing a four-year contract.
