Former Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez spoke out on Match of the Day about the current state of Chelsea. He believes that despite Chelsea's excellence in the attacking end, they must do the same in defense if they want to win trophies.

Discussing Chelsea with the likes of Theo Walcott, Benitez pointed out that with the players coming from different countries and now having to play together, it will be a bit of a challenge for the team. While they may be proud of their attacking performances, Benitez remains adamant in his view that to win trophies, the team must maintain a balanced attack and defense and must excel at both ends of the pitch.

Rafa Benitez further emphasized that while Chelsea have had bright performances on the offensive side, such as in the Premier League this season, where they have scored 17 goals in 8 matches, their performance on the defensive side has been worrying. So far, Chelsea have conceded 10 goals, which is obviously not an ideal number for a team aiming to win the title.
