In the eighth round of Serie A, Juventus defeated Lazio at home with a score of 1-0. After the match, Juventus defender Kaval was interviewed by DAZN, sharing his thoughts and feelings about the match.
Kaval began by saying, "It wasn't just us who needed a win at home here, everyone wanted a win. The fans wanted to see us win and then we did. It was a tough game, but we won with a team effort. Now, our focus has completely shifted to our next game and we want to keep the momentum going."
Speaking about his chances of playing, Kaval gratefully said, "Mota (which could mean the coach or a teammate, and depending on the context is more likely to mean the coach or one of his teammates who gives him support) has given me confidence. I haven't played for a long time, but that's the beauty of soccer. Even if it's only 5 minutes of playing time, we have to be prepared. When the coach asks us to play, we can make sure we play at our best. We have to be ready for the fans who come to the game and reward their support with our performance."
Kaval also spoke about the team's aggressiveness: "We're trying to become a more offensive Juventus. Every week in training we are trying to improve our offense. We want to be able to create goal-scoring opportunities by passing the ball and trying to score goals. In this game we managed to do that and win."
Finally, Kaval re-emphasized the team's goal: "Our goal is to win every game, no matter who the opponent is. We will continue to work hard, stay focused and bring more exciting games and victories to our fans."
