Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United 4-1 at home in a match in the 8th round of the English Premier League, and after the match manager Postecoglou was interviewed by TNT Sports to comment on his team's performance.

Postecoglou began by expressing satisfaction with the team's overall performance, "I think we played well today. We had to work hard in the first half, but after conceding the goal we got back into the game quickly. After that, the lads played well, had a lot of energy and scored a couple of good goals, although I think we could have scored more. The game allowed us to have a good day at the office."

Speaking about the substitution adjustments made after halftime, Postecoglou explained, "I replaced Madison with Pap Sarr for tactical reasons. I felt we needed more running ability in the midfield area and Pap gave us some good energy there and I think that helped us a lot in the second half."

On his team scoring back-to-back goals in the first half, Postecoglou said, "We felt the momentum and that's what you want to create at home. The crowd played their part today as well. We've had phases like this so far this season that we didn't capitalize on, but today we did. If we can continue that, we will be unstoppable."

Postecoglou also mentioned the benefits of the team scoring in all positions, "It's good for the team to score in all positions, and players like Brennan have been scoring lately, but we really need more goals from the midfield. Dejan (Kulusevski) and Bissouma are doing a great job there and it's great to have the captain (Son) back and scoring goals."

Finally, Postecoglou thanked the fans: "It was a great day for our fans. We know this game meant a lot to them and it's great that the players managed to send them home happy."
