Former Danish goalkeeper Sorensen recently spoke highly of Danish all-round midfielder Jurmand in an interview and believes that it would be a good deal for him to join Manchester United.
Sorensen said, "Jurmand is a dynamic all-around midfielder, which he showed when partnered with Hejbel. Not only can he be involved in scoring goals, but he can also carry the defensive load and do the 'dirty work' for the team."
Jurmand's rapid growth at Sporting Portugal has also caught Sorensen's attention. He mentioned, "Jurmand has already gained great experience by winning the league title with Sporting Portugal. And, at just 25 years old now, he has already become a great addition to the Danish national team. His potential is there for all to see, so I'm not surprised that there are bigger clubs looking at him."
When talking about Jurmand's scandal with Manchester United, Sorensen said, "Although joining Manchester United will be a challenge for Jurmand, I think he is fully capable of living up to the expectations that have been placed on him. There is a reason why United are interested in him, his technical characteristics and abilities are perfect for modern soccer. It would also be great for Danish soccer if this deal comes to fruition."
Sorensen is also confident that Jurmand will be a great success at United: "I believe he will be a very good player at United. His technique, tactical understanding and physical qualities enable him to adapt to the high intensity of confrontation in the Premier League. There will be no unsuitability when he joins United, instead he will become an important part of the team."
Jurmand's all-round ability and youthfulness have really made him the center of attention for many big clubs. And Sorensen's words have certainly brought more expectation and confidence to Man Utd fans. If United can successfully sign Youlmand, then their midfield strength will undoubtedly be greatly improved.
