A statue of former national soccer player Li Tie has been dismantled and pulled away from a park near Wulihe in Shenyang, according to the New Beijing News.

On the morning of the 26th, the statue of Li Tie and other members of the group were still placed on the lawn as normal, and with the revelation of Li Tie's serious violation of the law, his statue was removed.

On October 7, 2001, the national soccer team beat Oman to enter the World Cup at the Wulihe Stadium in Shenyang, hence the statues of local players and Coach Milu.

During the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, the national soccer team scored four victories in Wulihe, which is known as a blessing for Chinese soccer, and the statue used to be a symbol of the area.
