
The 26-year-old Chinese women's soccer international Wu Chengshu announced on November 10 that she has joined the Australian women's soccer team Canberra United. This makes 12 Chinese women's soccer players to go abroad.

Wu Chengshu plays as a midfielder and was the runner-up in the 2021 CFA Women's Super League season with Jiangsu Women's Football Team. At the Asian Cup earlier this year, she equalized in the semifinals against Japan. This season, Wu Chengshu has made 11 appearances for Jiangsu, scoring four goals in 10 starts, and is tied with Ni Mengjie for the second-most goals scored by the team.
Wu Chengshu announced her overseas study, becoming the second Chinese player in the Australian women's soccer team. Just a few days ago, it was announced that she was on loan to the Australian women's soccer team Adelaide United, becoming the first Chinese women's soccer player in Australia.
The Australian Women's Premier League will reportedly begin on Nov. 19, 2022, and run through April 2, 2023, with the top four finishing in a three-legged race to the championship. Canberra finished seventh in the 2021-2022 regular season. Canberra's first game will begin on November 19 when they host Perth.
