Australian Super Canberra United FC officially announced the signing of Chinese women's soccer international Wu Chengshu. She also became the 12th member of the Chinese women's soccer team studying abroad.

Wu Chengshu, 26, has played for the Jiangsu Wuxi Women's Football Team in a central midfield role. Canberra United Head Coach Popovic said, "I'm delighted to have Wu Chengshu on board and I look forward to working with her to help her integrate into the team and be a big part of the new season."

"Wu Chengshu is very talented and reads the game well, she is even the player we are looking for."

The regular season of the Australian Women's League will begin on November 19, 2022 and end on April 2, 2023. The top four will play three matches to determine the champion. Canberra United's first match will be on November 19 when they host Perth Glory. Last season, they finished seventh in the regular season.
