Nov. 6 -- Qingdao Sea Bulls beat Xinjiang Tianshan Snow Leopard 5-1 in the 27th round of the 2022 CFA First Division League yesterday afternoon, and are in third place. Analysts from WeChat's official account "Qingdao Sports Stuff" believe that Qingdao Hainiu is expected to surpass their success.
The Qingdao Manatees have now won four in a row and the last two games consecutively 5-1, continuing to rank third in the Central League with 18 wins, five draws and four losses, averaging a whopping 2.19 points per game. In the meanwhile, fourth-ranked Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic defeated Nantong Zhiyun 1-0 in a strong match. With this, Hainiu remains three points ahead of Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic, firmly in control of the initiative to overtake.
In the first phase of this season's first division, Manatees delivered one win and one draw in two matches against Shaanxi Chang'an. Therefore, if both teams end the season with the same number of points, the Manatees will be in first place by mutual record.
With only one draw and one loss in the last two rounds, Nantong Jiyun's lead over Hainiu has narrowed from 10 to 5 points, giving Qingdao Hainiu the hope of being runners-up in the Central League.
On the afternoon of November 9, Qingdao Hainiu will take on Liaoning Shenyang City.
