On November 4, UEFA officially announced the latest format of the UEFA Women's National League, as follows.
The new system will be used until the 2025 UEFA Women's Cup. From the fall of 2023, the UEFA Women's League system will be linked to the UEFA Women's Qualifiers, including promotion to the next level, championship and runners-up finals, and the UEFA Women's Qualifiers Play-Offs. All participating associations will be divided into three levels. In each level, four associations form a group, with the group stage duels being a home and away game system.
Under the UEFA Women's Football League system, three teams qualify for the Olympic Games are decided every four years. The final UEFA Women's League standings will determine the teams and standings for the UEFA Women's Cup qualifiers.
The results and rankings of the UEFA Europa League Qualifiers will determine the teams that will advance directly to the UEFA Europa League and the World Cup, as well as the teams that will advance through the UEFA Europa League Qualifiers Play-Offs. The final rankings of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers will be used to determine which associations will lead the way for the next UEFA season.
The new UEFA Women's Football League aims to create a more competitive tournament system that enhances sporting and commercial interests and ensures that all participating associations have the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Women's Football Cup and World Cup.

After the success of the UEFA Women's Cup, it is time to further develop the women's soccer tournament in Europe. We have created an open, competitive and sustainable system. In this system, every game is important and it is a reflection of the Eurosport model. I am confident that the new model will help all federation associations to realize their dream of participating in international competitions."
