The Globe Soccer Awards are part of the Dubai World Sports Congress, organized by the Dubai Sports Authority. Created in Dubai in 2010, the awards are organized by the European Football Businessmen's Association (EFBA) and the European Football Salon Association (EFSA), and are presented at the end of each year or at the beginning of the following year. The awards were initially created to honor the best businessmen and salon managers in soccer, and since 2011, awards for the best player and the best team have been added.
The Lifetime Soccer Awards ballot is conducted in two rounds, with the first round of online voting by fans around the world selecting some of the players to advance to the second round of voting, which will be selected by a jury of fans, coaches, directors and managers.
