Djokovic is the reigning Paris Masters champion, with an overall record of 50 wins and 9 losses at the event, and still holds the record for Masters titles with 40.
On his personal social media, Djokovic wrote: "Unfortunately I won't be playing at this year's Paris Masters and I want to say sorry to everyone who wanted me to play there and hope all the players, sponsors, organizers and fans have a great tournament. I have a lot of great memories there, having won seven titles, and I hope to be back with everyone in the coming year."
