Sneijder is a youth player of the Dutch giants Ajax. 2002-03 season, Sneijder was still playing in Ajax's reserve team, but in mid-season the first team had serious injuries, especially in the midfield, and the club decided to promote Sneijder to the first team as a matter of emergency. 2002 November, Sneijder made his debut in the Dutch First League. Sneijder was only 18 years old and small in stature at the time, but he had a solid season in the league and showed his ability to shoot from long range. After the World Cup in South Africa, Sneijder had been favored by Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson, but Sneijder chose to remain at Inter Milan.
