Gold players for UEFA's 50th anniversary awards
The UEFA 50th Anniversary Award was established to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) in 2004. The 52 members of UEFA selected the most outstanding player of their association in the last 50 years (1954-2003) and these 52 players were awarded the UEFA 50th Anniversary Prize, known as the "Golden Player". The list of 52 was published in November 2003 and recognized at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
