On October 10, news spread across major financial forums - the Financial Times revealed that the struggling industry giant
Evergrande Group
's de facto controller, Hui Ka Yan, is planning to list his luxury London villa for sale.
According to the Financial Times, the buyer of the deal is Zhang Songqiao, known in the industry as "Chongqing Li Ka-shing", and the real owner behind the Rutland Gate 2-8a villa in London is Hui Ka Yan. The two men are good friends in the industry.
The change of ownership of the mansion, which took place in the early 2020s, was sold for a whopping £210 million, which translates to about $2 billion, breaking the record for the highest single residential property transaction in the UK.

Evergrande Group
The company is seeking to liquidate its personal assets in various ways, including the sale of private jets, to ease the financial pressure. Prior to that, his domestic soccer clubs had already cut spending sharply and made downward adjustments to staff salaries.
The Guardian has learned that the seven-storey mansion has caught the eye of at least five potential buyers since it quietly went on the market, including Middle Eastern royalty and American super-rich. Real estate industry executives familiar with the process of the deal said the offers made by potential buyers are likely to be far from the 2020 price.
It is reported that the mansion covers an area of up to 5,782 square meters, even more than the size of an American soccer field, and is located on the south side of Kensington Gardens overlooking Hyde Park, making it a prime location. The interior of the mansion consists of seven floors, 45 bedrooms, a swimming pool, underground parking, multiple elevators and numerous gold leaf decorations. Of these, 68 of the 116 windows offer beautiful views of the gardens. The mansion has been vacant for over 10 years and previously had planning permission for alterations.
