U17 Asian Cup Qualifier Highlights

As the clock struck 12 o'clock in the golden October, a fierce match between Australia and China's U17 National Junior Team in the 3rd round of Group G of the 20th U17 Asian Cup Qualifying Tournament 2023 kicked off at the Shepperton Sports City Stadium in Australia. After a fierce battle, China's U17 National Junior Team, with a 10-player finishing lineup, lost 1-3 to their opponents, regrettably qualifying for the 2nd place in Group G. China's Head Coach Yang Chen was also present to attend the post-match press release.

Facing this crucial duel, Yang Chen commented after the match, "I am very satisfied with the players' play today, they fought until the last moment." He also added, "Despite being behind in the first half, the players managed to pull one back through their unremitting efforts, and their performance and tactical execution throughout the game deserve to be recognized."

Talking about the overall performance of this qualifier, Yang Chen said, "We arrived in Australia a month early, and although we won the first two matches by big scores, we also found our own problems. This match against Australia was the one in which the team played the best."

When asked about the role this group of players will play in Chinese soccer in the future, Yang Chen replied confidently, "In these three games, I have full confidence in our players, their on-field performance and team sense are outstanding. In the next ten years, they may become the leaders of Chinese soccer, and I think they should continue to work hard."
