The 21st anniversary of the men's soccer team's advancement to the World Cup
Oct. 8, coinciding with our men's soccer team
lit. break through a heavy siege (idiom); fig. to make a breakthrough
Toward the 21st anniversary of the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, former national team member Qu Bo posted a photo on his social media account of the national players and coach Milu back then, and wished China's men's soccer team a new leap forward.
Now 41 years old, Qu Bo has devoted himself to youth soccer training, and once led the "Wind Chasers" team to make a name for themselves in the Jiaodong City Soccer Championship League. Compared to his pre-retirement stature, Qu Bo is now slightly plumper, and his temples are stained with the signs of age.
Qu Bo shared this photo of the national team reunion on Weibo and lamented, "Twenty years of reunion! It's like a lifetime ago! Green silk turns into white hair! May the Chinese men's soccer team create another brilliant year!"
