After three years of unremitting efforts, the salon has successfully constructed five elite teams, and the results of the construction of the youth training system have begun to show.
In 2016, Yan Xiang took over the responsibility of youth training director and received the baton from Wu Jingui. In order to strengthen the team's ability to renew itself, Shenhua has continued to expand the number and quality of its youth training bases. Sharon established partnerships with Yangpu Football School, Sports Bureau and Junior Sports School, but still realized the weakness of youth training in some age groups. In early 2018, Shenhua fully acquired the 1999/2000 age group teams.
In 2017, the salon began hiring foreign coaches, with Spanish youth coach David Pirie becoming the head coach of Oasis Shenhua's U16 team.In mid-2018, Croatian coach Baisek took over as Shenhua's youth consultant and head coach of the 03 team.
In the face of the plight of the weak roots of youth training, Shenhua gradually constructed a system through the acquisition of an entire team in the early days, but such acquisitions could not fundamentally solve the problem of reserve forces. Therefore, from 2019, Shenhua increased the layout of the youth training base to improve the ability of self-renewal.
In the summer of 2019, Shenhua cooperated with Spain NAMA soccer training camp, following the introduction of Spanish and Serbian head coach, once again invited the European coaching team to improve the youth training system. 2020 the two sides formally reached a cooperation, the Spanish coaching team to participate in the Shenhua youth training camp of the enrollment selection, daily training, the elite team matches, etc., to formulate a personalized and high-level training plan for the young players, but also for Chinese The Spanish coaching team will be involved in the recruitment and selection of Shenhua youth training camp, daily training, elite team games and other aspects of the training program.
Under the dual consideration of quantity and quality, Salon management upholds the principle of pragmatism in selecting youth training coaches, preferring to give more opportunities to those coaches who are down-to-earth, diligent and pragmatic, and who contribute to the cause of youth training and the future of Chinese soccer.
Currently, the head coaches of Shenhua teams at all levels include Yu Tao of the U21 team, Xu Yibin of the U19 team, Ye Zhanggen of the U17 team, Tao Jin of the U15 team, and Zheng Kewei of the U14 team. Among them, Xu Yibin graduated from Shanghai Putuo Soccer School, as Wang Haijian and other players' mentor, he has been cultivating youth training for dozens of years in the Chinese soccer world; the other coaches have a strong Shenhua sentiment, and have played for Shenhua at different times. In the current scarcity of coaching talent, they are not for fame and fortune, choose to work silently, for Shenhua youth training dedication for many years, become a valuable asset of the salon.
At present, nine teams from 11 to 19 years old are developing steadily and have become Shenhua's reserve force. It is understood that the total annual expenditure of a team is about 3 million dollars. On top of the normal operation of the team, there are quite a lot of expenditures directly or indirectly related to the youth training.
Oasis has invested billions of dollars in youth training since 2014
Despite the impact of the epidemic in the last two years, which has reduced the number of opportunities for teams at all levels to go out and play, the salaries of coaches and staff have been adjusted downwards, and the total investment of Oasis Group in youth training has been reduced compared to the previous two years.
The quality of youth training has been largely guaranteed, even in a relatively difficult phase
"Oasis Group, Mr. Wu, Mr. Zhou are very supportive of Shenhua youth training. For example, to carry out collaboration with the Spanish coaching team, it is not unusual to do this when the group just took over Shenhua, but at this stage of the more difficult situation, the group still insisted on the investment in youth training, it is really not easy."
Shenhua Youth Training Director Yan Xiang said, "In addition to ensuring that all levels of the team's training, matches and daily life continue to collaborate with a high-level Spanish coaching team.
Shenhua is also thinking about the future of young players, and cooperation with some schools, to provide them with learning opportunities, in the ordinary playing football to enhance their thinking ability, the future of the road can also be more a way!
Regarding the future, the attitude of the Oasis Group is to keep all the teams as long as possible:
"If we give up now, it would have been for nothing before. Regardless of who takes over in the future, keeping these teams is a way of accounting for them and for these players."
enjoy the benefits of the hard work of one's predecessors.
This is real charity soccer.
The 07 team coached by Tao Jin comes from Shenhua's youth training deployment at Jiangzhen High School.
Last year, they won the U14 Elite Invitational. In March this year, the team's training was halted for several months due to an epidemic, and they did not regroup until July. In this year's Shanghai Stars of Tomorrow Champions Cup, the team beat the CFA Tigers 3-2, Dortmund Academy 2-0, Shandong Taishan 2-0 and then beat Zhejiang Energy Greentown U15s 3-0 to win the title.
"I arrived at Sharon in 2002, from youth training to the first team to retirement, and now I'm starting to do youth training again." Tao Jin said, "I've been leading this team for three years now, and I also hope that through my own efforts, I can improve myself first, and then improve the players' ability to deliver more players for Shanghai for the country."
"Special thanks to my salon (Shenhua) for not giving up on youth training in such a difficult situation. Mr. Wu and Mr. Zhou have always given me a lot of trust and encouragement, so that I can always feel at ease with the youth training. I myself know very well that I didn't have too glamorous experience in my playing days, there were some skepticism's at that time, but I was determined at that time to lead the team in a practical way, to make something, and to repay the support of the salon and the leadership to me with achievements."
As a player from the youth training system, Tao Jin has been deeply engaged in the youth training business for three years, and has a deeper understanding of the work of youth training from the perspective of a coach.
"In earlier years, just a youth training cloth of Jiangzhen High School is a yearly investment of 40 million dollars, equivalent to the current operating funds of a Central League team for a year. Over the years, Sharon has been very protective of the Rivertown High School team."
Taukin bluntly stated that, in general, the private sector is not willing to do such work.
"After all, youth training is a long process from establishment to development to harvesting results. And the matter of youth training for investors, from the beginning, can not be sure that he will finally get the expected results. To put it bluntly, this is the work of planting trees in front of people, the latter multiply the coolness."
"Oasis Group is doing a great job in this regard, this is the real public welfare soccer, willing to think about the future of Shanghai and Chinese soccer, to develop more talents."
Youth training is one of the most important indicators of whether a club is truly thriving. In the past two years, Chinese soccer has hit a low point, with many clubs that had invested heavily struggling or even going out of business due to financial problems. Under such circumstances, youth training is usually the first part of the game to be abandoned, with a few promising young players leaving, and most being forced to stop their soccer careers because they have no ball to play and no one to turn to. Shenhua, a club in financial difficulties, has not seen a similar situation.
Through the steady investment of Oasis Group for 8 years, the successive efforts of the two directors, and the quiet work of many coaches and workers at the bottom, Shenhua began to harvest the fruits of youth training, and the players from Shenhua became the "main force" of the national teams at all levels. In addition to national team regulars Liu Ruowan vanadium, Zhu Chenjie, Jiang Shenglong, now the lower age groups of players on behalf of their respective national teams to prepare for and play. Zhu Qiwen, Jin Shunkai, He Longhai, Zhu Yue and Jiang Zhixin are practicing on behalf of the U21 national football team in Croatia, and Wu Qipeng and Liu Chengyu, who have been selected for the U17 national junior team, are taking part in the U17 Asian Cup qualifier in Australia.
