This year's U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers brought together 43 teams from Asia to compete in 10 groups. China was grouped with Australia, Cambodia and Northern Mariana Islands, with Australia sitting as the hosts. According to the rules, the top two teams from each group and the third place of the six groups with the best results advance to the main round. The Chinese team will play Cambodia in the first match, Northern Mariana Islands in the second match, and finally face Australia. In this tournament, China U16 National Junior Team is led by Coach Yang Chen.

In the 16th minute, Wang Yudong stopped the ball inside the top of the arc and shot, the ball was blocked by the opponent's goalkeeper Val, and then Zhang Junjie received the ball and shot into the lower left corner, China's 1-0 lead.
