In an interview on September 28th, Zhao Mingjian, who is currently playing for Kunshan in the Central League, revealed the mystery behind his nickname "Zhao Si" by the fans.
Talking about the origin of the nickname, Zhao Mingjian recalled: "It goes back to 2013, when I was obsessed with watching Country Romance, and I was fascinated by the character Zhao Si in the drama. I thought I resembled Zhao Si, so this nickname has followed me to this day. Although my name has never changed since then, I have been called by many names as I have grown older. During the time I played for Dalian, fans affectionately called me 'Little Tiger', as well as 'Hair Sword' and other nicknames. Nowadays, as I grow older, people treat me with more respect and are used to calling me Fourth Brother."
In August, 34-year-old Zhao Mingjian was loaned by Shanghai Shenhua to play for Kunshan. Since joining the team, he has played 10 matches for Kunshan, contributing 3 goals and 4 assists to the team.
