Changchun Yatai defeated Wuhan Changjiang 2-0 in the 17th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) at 17:30 on September 24th, ending a two-game losing streak. Erik Parhad was the first to break through for Changchun Yatai, and had a great performance in the second half, but one of the goals was blown for offside.
In the 39th minute of the match, Sergio cleverly sent a ball over the top into the penalty area, Li Chao tried to clear the ball but failed to kick it far away. Before Liao Chengjian was knocked down by his opponent, he quickly passed the ball out and Eric followed up with a sweeping shot to score.
So far, this is Eric's sixth goal for Changchun Yatai this season, in addition to contributing five assists, a stunning performance.
Talking about the game, Eric said, "This game means a lot to us. Although we gave our best in the previous matches, we were never able to win. This win takes a lot of pressure off us, and even though there were no fans cheering on the field, I firmly believe that they have been silently supporting us."
