
On May 1, Beijing time, Sichuan Jiuniu Football Club officially unveiled the joining of three new stars: Zhao Xu Ri, Yang Lei and Lu Ning.
Zhao Xuri, the 36-year-old midfield soul, hails from Dalian, Liaoning. His career is like an epic of ups and downs, starting from Dalian Sedrun and gaining experience through clubs such as Sichuan Guancheng, Dalian Shide, Shaanxi Chanba, Guangzhou Evergrande, Tianjin Quanjian and Dalian People. During his time at Guangzhou, Zhao witnessed the team win the Chinese Super League four times, the AFC Champions League twice and the China Super Cup once.
Zhao Xuri not only shines in the domestic game, but also has been selected for the national team and national teams at all levels, representing China in the World Youth Championships, the Beijing Olympics and the Asian Cup and other major international events, to win glory for the country.
Facing the new owner, Zhao Xuri said with confidence, "It's a great honor to join Sichuan Jiuniu, for the goals set by the club in the new season, I'd like to go all out and contribute my share to the club."
Another newcomer, Yang Lei, 29, from Lijiang, Yunnan Province, specializes in the wingback position. In the 2016-2021 season, Yang Lei played for Heilongjiang Bingcheng and made 117 appearances, scoring 10 goals and 4 assists. Talking about joining Sichuan Jiuniu, Yang Lei is full of gratitude: "Thanks for the club's trust in me, and I am honored to join this big family. I will do my best to quickly integrate into the team, play my specialties, and realize the goal of the new season with the team."
Finally, young goalkeeper Lu Ning, 24, from Guizhou, is an outstanding product of Beijing Renhe's youth training base. In the 2021 season, Luning represented Heilongjiang Bingcheng in the Central League, making a total of 16 appearances. The addition of this new face will undoubtedly add new vigor to Sichuan Jiuniu's backline.
