In the 5th round of Group A of the qualifiers, the match between Saudi Arabia U19 National Youth and China U19 National Youth took place at the Prince Ben Jarawi Stadium in Al Hubayr, Saudi Arabia. The game was revealed with our country being slightly behind with a score of 0-1. In the second half of extra time, Suleiman scored the only goal of the match amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, in the other match of the group, Maldives lost 0-3 to Myanmar. So far, in the Group A table, Saudi Arabia has 9 points, China has 6 points, Myanmar has 3 points and Maldives has 0 points. In the first round of Group A, Uzbekistan swept the Maldives 7-0, while Myanmar defeated our country 1-3. In the second round, Uzbekistan beat Myanmar 3-0, while Maldives lost to Saudi Arabia 0-11. In the third round, Saudi Arabia defeated Uzbekistan 1-2, and we swept Maldives 5-0. In the fourth round, we lost to Uzbekistan 1-2 and Myanmar lost to Saudi Arabia 0-5. As Uzbekistan was the host, its qualifying results were not counted.
Prior to the match, both Saudi Arabia and China were tied at the top of the table with six points from two matches. China rotated 11 of their starting eleven, while Saudi Arabia replaced Youssef, Julaidan, Anazi and Javashian with Mehmesh, Suleiman, Subiani and Zaid.
