Sweeping the Maldives with a 5-0 record, the Chinese U19s are at the top of the Group A table with two consecutive victories, even on the premise that the hosts, Uzbekistan U19s, will not be ranked due to their record in the final stage of the tournament. The official website of the AFC even commented on the tournament under the title "China's team burns with passion". The head coach of our U19 team, Spaniard Antonio, admitted in an interview with the media that he was quite pleased with the team's victory, but the fact that the Chinese team is not one of the top teams in Asia, and that they only scored 5 goals against the Maldives, objectively reflects the actual level of our U19 team.

The Group A standings were updated. Although the tournament has reached its 3rd round, some groups have had one team in each round due to the fact that there are 5 teams in the tournament, resulting in most of the teams having played only two matches. This is the case with our U19 team. Given that Uzbekistan U19s, the hosts of the final stage, are not counted in the qualifying rankings, our U19s are at the top of Group A with two consecutive victories. The Saudis are currently second in their group, although their record counts for one less match. Given that Saudi Arabia is much stronger than the other team in the same group, Myanmar, the two teams will directly compete for the top spot in the final round of qualifying.

Antonio, the head coach of our U19 team, was generally satisfied with the two consecutive wins. He said, "Scoring six points in two consecutive games is something to be recognized. I think the team played quite well throughout the tournament. We could see that the competition was very fierce in all groups. We put in a lot of effort. The important thing is that we won the matches and achieved a certain goal difference."

However, some fans believe that only five clean sheets against the Maldives, the weakest team in the group, seems a bit insufficient for our U19 team, especially after Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia romped past the same opponents 7-0 and 11-0 respectively. In response, Antonio said, "We should remain calm, after all, in Asia, we are not the top team. Of course, our players work very hard, the whole team is organized and disciplined. The game basically reflected our true level. What we need to focus on is how to play well in the next game, rather than focusing on the goal difference of the past games. In fact, we created more chances than we scored. So, I remain relatively satisfied with the players' performance."

On the final match for the fate of the lineup, against the group stage hosts Saudi Arabia U19, Antonio said, "The match against Saudi Arabia is really crucial and we have to fight our opponents with all our might. I believe we can make it out of the group."
