Current events, September 5, China's men's and women's soccer teams will face a series of major tournaments in the coming year, according to Sports Weekly. The men's soccer team is about to embark on the Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers, while the women's soccer team is preparing for the challenges of the World Cup and the Olympics.

This weekend, China's U19 National Youth Football Team will kick off their campaign against the U20 Asian Cup qualifiers, marking the beginning of the next four years of China's men's and women's football journey. Immediately following that, the U17 women's soccer team will compete in the U17 World Cup in October, while the U16 National Junior Team will also travel to the U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers in October. If the National Youth and National Junior teams succeed in advancing, the two teams will participate in the U20 and U17 Asian Cup in March and May next year respectively.

Entering June, Chinese men's and women's soccer will face more tests. First up is the Men's Asian Cup, which runs from June 16 to July 16, followed by the Women's World Cup from July 20 to August 20. The National Olympic team will meet the first stage of the Olympic qualifiers in September, while the men's and women's Asian Football teams will also participate in the Asian Games.

In November, China's men's soccer team will go all out for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by participating in the Asian 36-team tournament, while the women's soccer team will vie for two spots in the Olympics from Nov. 27 to Dec. 6. According to the schedule, the Men's World Cup Asian 36 will start next November and last until June the year after next, while the 18-team tournament is scheduled for September 2024 to June 2025, while the six-team play-offs and the cross-continental play-offs will take place from September to November 2025.
