
In the late afternoon of August 25th, FIFA, the authoritative organization of international soccer, unveiled the latest season's FIFA national team ranking list. Our national soccer team has achieved a slight increase in points in this ranking, the cumulative points reached 1305.06 points, ranking 78th in the world and 11th in Asia, it is worth noting that compared to the previous ranking, both the world ranking and the Asian ranking, remain unchanged position.
Looking back at the last edition of the FIFA Rankings, which was released on June 23rd, when our points were set at 1304.02, again ranking 78th in the world and 11th in Asia, the Chinese Men's National Selection Team took part in the East Asian Cup in the last 30 days of the scoring cycle, going down to South Korea with a 0-3 defeat, drawing 0-0 with Japan, and winning by a single goal against Hong Kong, China. The results of these matches resulted in an increase in points, to 1.04, and an unchanged ranking in the table.
Within Asia, the current top ten teams are: Iran, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Oman and Uzbekistan. It is worth noting that the top three rankings of Iran, Japan and South Korea are not only ranked in Asia, but their world rankings have also reached 22nd, 24th and 28th, respectively, and they have all entered the ranks of the world's top 30.
They are followed by teams ranked 11 to 20 in Asia, including China, Bahrain, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Lebanon, India and Tajikistan.
It is worth mentioning that Hong Kong, China is ranked 147th and 25th in Asia, Chinese Taipei is ranked 157th and 32nd in Asia, and Macau, China is ranked 182nd and 37th in Asia.
