At 7:30pm on August 24th, the 13th round of the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) supplemental match between Guangzhou and Dalian was held in Guangzhou Huadu Stadium. In the 56th minute of the match, Guangzhou's Chen Rijin accidentally knocked down the opposing player Shang Yin in the left backfield, turning two yellows into red, and the situation on the field instantly changed to Dalian People's 11 players against Guangzhou's 10 players! Immediately after, the experienced veteran Li Xuepeng came on as a substitute, however, his playing time was less than 5 minutes, he received a yellow card for arguing with the referee. Afterwards, Li Xuepeng was so agitated that referee Guan Xing considered showing a second yellow card.
