FA's industry-wide conference on match discipline
In the late afternoon of August 22, the CFA held a serious meeting on "industry-wide match discipline and anti-doping". Chen Xuyuan, Chairman of the CFA, Du Zhaocai, Secretary of the Party Committee, Yan Zhanhe, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee and other senior leaders attended. In the meeting, the high importance of the alleged match-fixing incident was clearly put forward, and the national football team's match discipline and industry style rectification has also been formally positioned as a long-term, systematic and comprehensive governance project.
It is worth mentioning that the Football Association also said at the meeting that, in addition to combating fake gambling and black, selective negative matches will also become the focus of investigation and punishment.
One of the backgrounds of this meeting is that the State General Administration of Sport held a national sports system competition discipline and anti-doping warning and education meeting on August 15th. Gao Zhidan, Director General of the General Administration of Sport, delivered a speech at the conference, emphasizing the importance of competition discipline and anti-doping work.
Recently, a series of alleged match-fixing incidents have not only aroused widespread public concern, but also attracted great attention from the central government. The Football Association has said that the development of the national soccer team and the problems that have arisen have left Chinese fans and the general public dissatisfied.
In fact, the purging and governance of match discipline has been one of the main tasks of the national football team in 2022. From the beginning of the year to the present, the Football Association has done a series of work in the construction of systems and departments.
Before this meeting, the Football Association issued a notice on further strengthening the work of match style and discipline in all kinds of soccer tournaments, which clearly proposed to deal with violators strictly and seriously, crack down on fake gambling and black behavior, and establish a blacklist system.
A series of actions of the Football Association, including this meeting, all show that the governance of the national soccer team's match style and discipline is systematic, not a gust of wind. Moreover, this kind of governance work is not only carried out by the Football Association itself, but also requires multi-departmental joint law enforcement.
