Clarence Seedorf has written his own legacy of excellence in soccer history, taking over the coaching reins at AC Milan in January 2014 on a temporary basis but announcing he was stepping down only in June. Then, in July 2016, Seedorf joined Chinese League One side Shenzhen Jiazhaoye, becoming the third Serie A star to take charge of China's second-tier league after Cannavaro and Ferrara. However, he announced his departure from coaching once again on December 5, 2019.In July 2019, Seedorf lost his position as head coach of the national team after failing to help Cameroon defend their title in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Seedorf's illustrious career began at Ajax, where he won the 94-95 Champions League and Dutch First Division double. At Real Madrid, he won another European title, as well as the Toyota Cup and La Liga. After moving to AC Milan, he helped the team win the UEFA Champions League twice, as well as several European Super Cups, Club World Cups, Serie A titles and many other honors. On an individual level, Seedorf was twice named in the UEFA Team of the Year and was honored as the best midfielder of European soccer clubs in the 06-07 season.
