The Euro 2024 group stage draw ceremony, several groups known as the "group of death" pattern emerged. group B, Spain, Italy and Croatia, the trio, making this group instantly full of gunpowder flavor. France and the Netherlands in the same group, is a touch. However, England, Germany, Belgium and other teams of the signing of the position seems to be quite at ease.
This year's UEFA Europa League continues to utilize a 24-team format divided into six groups. Apart from hosts Germany, who automatically qualify, 20 teams have emerged on the back of the European qualifiers, with the other three play-off places to be revealed in March next year.
In the slotting draw, host Germany and six teams, including Spain, England, France, Belgium and Portugal, were seeded. However, there were a number of strong teams in the third and fourth gears. The Netherlands and Croatia were among the third slot, while Italy, which did not participate, landed in the fourth slot. Switzerland, Serbia and other World Cup regulars also joined the fourth gear, making the current European Cup "group of death" probability greatly increased.
In the draw, Spain's Group B is considered the most competitive "Group of Death", with the Matildas competing against Croatia in the third slot and Italy in the fourth, creating an impenetrable wall of opponents. The Bulldogs will be up against Croatia in the third slot and Italy in the fourth, creating an impenetrable wall of opponents.Another member of Group B is Albania.
France's Group D is also seen as a potential "Group of Death", with France facing off against the third-seeded Netherlands and second-seeded Austria, while the final spot in Group D will be decided by the winners of the play-off Group A, in which Lewin's Poland are battling.
Compared to Spain and France, the other four seeded teams have relatively generous signings. Germany are grouped with Switzerland, England face the challenge of Denmark and Serbia, while Belgium and Portugal are each grouped with weaker teams.
Below are the specifics of the groups:
Group A: Germany, Hungary, Scotland, Switzerland
Group B: Spain, Albania, Croatia, Italy
Group C: England, Denmark, Slovenia, Serbia
Group D: France, Austria, Netherlands, winner of Group A of the play-offs
Group E: Belgium, Romania, Slovakia, winner of Group B of the play-offs
Group F: Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic, winner of play-off Group C
Of the six groups, Groups A, B and D are considered to be the "Groups of Death", as they bring together a large number of strong teams and are particularly competitive. The other groups have more obvious power differences.
The grouping of this Europa League has stirred up a lot of anticipation and I am sure the tournament will be full of fierce competition and exciting duels. Good luck to all the participating teams!
