
At the age of 18, Van Persie made his debut with Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie in 2001, before Premier League side Arsenal took him under their wing in 2004. Initially, Van Persie played mainly on the left wing, but with the changes in the squad, he spent most of his time as a striker. In his two years at Arsenal, he has scored 10 goals.
However, in the early days of joining Arsenal, Van Persie was inconsistent and was even noted by captain Henry for his one-trick pony style of play.
