A back-to-back champion of the Paris Masters, Djokovic has a brilliant 50-9 overall record at the event and still holds the all-time Masters record with 40 titles.
On his personal social media, Djokovic expressed his regret this way, "I have to convey the sad news that I will not be present at this year's Paris Masters. I would like to apologize to all my friends who were looking forward to my presence there and hope that all the players, sponsors, organizers and fans will enjoy a fantastic tournament. I have made many cherished memories in Paris, having held the trophy seven times, and I look forward to being back in everyone's arms again next year."
