The group draw for the 2024 European Championships has been announced, with a number of "Groups of Death" on the line.Group B is a trio of Spain, Italy and Croatia, with sparks of competition flying all over the place. This year's tournament follows the traditional format of 24 teams divided into six groups, with Germany as the hosts automatically advancing and the remaining 20 teams coming out of the European qualifying rounds. The remaining three play-off spots will be created in March next year.

Compared to Spain and France, the other four seeded teams had a relatively smooth draw. Germany and Switzerland are in the same group, England face Denmark and Serbia, and Belgium and Portugal are in the same group with weaker opponents.

Group D: France, Austria, Netherlands, winner of Group A of the play-offs
Group E: Belgium, Romania, Slovakia, winner of Group B of the play-offs
Group F: Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic, winner of play-off Group C
Groups A, B and D are regarded as the "Groups of Death" because of the number of strong teams and the intensity of the competition. The other groups have more pronounced power gaps.
