Retired Dutch defender Van Bronckhorst, once a shining star in world soccer, has been featured in every major top league.
He has been based at a number of well-known clubs such as Feyenoord, Rangers and Arsenal.
He joined Rangers in 1998 and has long left his mark of excellence on the international stage.
In 2001, Wenger looked to Van Bronckhorst to form a partnership with Vieira in midfield. However, injuries kept him out for months and when he returned, the position was taken by someone else. Despite this, he won the FA Cup and the league title with the team.
