The team defeated Cangzhou Lions 2-0 at Dalian Ren's home field, earning their first home win of the season. After the match, Dalian Ren Head Coach Xie Hui and Cangzhou Lions Head Coach Sabrić attended the press conference.

On whether Dalian will consider giving opportunities to players who are about to join or have already joined the club after the transfer ban is lifted, Xie Hui replied:
"Simply put, whoever performs well in training will play. I won't look at new or old, as long as the form is good, you will be able to play in the game. Better is definitely the right direction, but time has to be taken into account as well, it's not a day or two or a week or two, it takes time to work on it, so you can't be too hasty. I understand the ability of the new signings, but it takes time to gel and all the other aspects."
Sablić said, "First of all, congratulations to Dalian people for the victory. We had been preparing well for the previous three or four days and we knew that Dalian played aggressively, so we made some preparations. But the other team scored in the opening half, soccer is like that sometimes. That's their specialty, they like high pressure up front. We had our chances after they scored, but unfortunately didn't capitalize on them. At the end of the half the opponents scored another goal, and I encouraged the team at halftime to be more aggressive if they wanted to change the score, to try to get 50/50 balls and control the ball a little bit more. In the second half, we also tried to make changes, but unfortunately we didn't get a goal. Still, congratulations to Dalian and I hope they achieve better results in future matches."
