On August 16, reports out of Peru came in with the news that Xiaotao Tao-tao, a naturalized player who was once highly regarded as a Peruvian league foreigner, was experiencing transfer woes.
Universidad del Deportivo de Peru, a club with which he has an unbreakable bond with the youth academy, seemed to be the ideal place for him to return to. But in the transfer window at the beginning of the year, and in the summer, two chances came his way, and Xiaotao failed to fulfill his wish. Behind this was his brave decision to choose to give up his Peruvian nationality and embrace Chinese nationality.
Now, no matter which Peruvian team Xiao Tao Tao chooses, he will appear as a foreign aid. As for the Peruvian Sports University, the foreign aid quota for this season is full, and his dream seems to have added another layer of shadow.
