The 13th round of the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) season has suffered a change of schedule, with the match originally scheduled for August 17 at 8:00 p.m. urgently rescheduled for August 15 at 8:00 p.m. against the backdrop of the new Champions League defense and control. The sudden change in schedule, coupled with the cancellation of flights from Changchun to Haikou, forced Changchun Yatai's players to divert to Beijing, eventually arriving in Haikou at noon on Aug. 13 to prepare for the match against Tianjin Jinmen Tigers.
The Chinese Super League (CSL) schedule was adjusted after six teams were restricted from leaving the island for the 11th round of the tournament, which was originally scheduled to be held in Haikou, following the upgrading of epidemic prevention and control measures in Hainan. Changchun Yatai's home match against Chengdu Rongcheng, originally scheduled for August 13, was postponed, while the away match against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, originally scheduled for August 17, was moved up to two days. As a result, Changchun Yatai was scheduled to travel from Changchun to Haikou on August 13, but flight cancellations forced the team to adjust their itinerary and change flights from Beijing a day earlier.
At 18:30 on August 12, the team took the club bus to the airport after completing the training session at the Jingyue base. Before departure, General Manager Zeng Jiao Feng and the management staff saw the team off, hoping for a fruitful trip to Haikou. According to the plan, the team spent the night in Beijing and flew to Haikou in the next morning.
It is worth mentioning that with the national football selection team to complete the 7 + 3 days of isolation of the Yatai players Tan Long and Dili Yimiti, although they were not able to return to Changchun as planned, but thanks to the adjustment of the schedule, they avoided the long-distance trekking hard work, and were able to return directly to the team in Haikou.
