In the midst of a tumultuous week, the Chinese Football Association unveiled on its official platform four disciplinary incidents against the Chinese League A and B and issued the corresponding punishment announcements. In the eye-catching list, Chengyuan, a player of Jinan Xingzhou FC in the S.B., was disqualified from five matches and fined 25,000 RMB for violence against an opponent during a heated match.
The series of punishment decisions, announced by the CFA on Aug. 10, covered four clubs and four players in the Chinese League A and B. Cheng Yuan's misbehavior occurred in the eighth round of the League B, when he not only threw a towel at an opposing player, but also pushed the opposing player's neck at the end of his team's match against Zibo Qisheng. Meanwhile, Chen Liangui, an official of the Zibo Qisheng team, was suspended for seven matches and fined 35,000 yuan after he verbally insulted an opposing player and punched an official of his team who came to intervene at the end of the match.
With the same amount of fine, Pan Chao, an official of Cheng Yuan's Central B club Hubei Young Stars, was also punished with a five-game suspension and a 25,000 yuan fine for insulting the referee at the end of the 8th round of the Central B League match between Hubei Young Stars and Quanzhou Yaxin.
And Zhang Yang, a player of the Qingdao Hainiu team in the Central League, was sentenced to a five-match suspension and a fine of 50,000 yuan for accusing and abusing the referee during extra time in the 13th round of the Central League match between the Hainiu team and the Shanghai Jiading Huilong team on Aug. 4, the first round of the Central League.
