Adjustment of the schedule of the Chinese Super League and the impact of the epidemic

In the storm of the Hainan epidemic, August 8, the CFL preparatory group decisively made adjustments to the 12th round of the Chinese Super League tournament, the original nine games only four games as scheduled, the remaining five games postponed. At the same time, the two matches of the 16th round were also moved to the 12th round. Despite the huge changes, the teams generally cooperated positively. In the first round of the second phase of the game, Dalian and Henan fans for the Chinese Super League to find two years almost disappeared "the true meaning of soccer" for the hard-won home and away matches, everyone worked together.

The original Round 12 schedule was as follows:

August 12, 19:30, Zhejiang vs Guangzhou, Huzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium;

August 12, 20:00, Shenzhen vs Dalian Ren, Mission Hills Soccer Base Stadium, Haikou;

Cangzhou Lions vs Shanghai Seaport, August 12, 20:00, Wuyuanhe Stadium, Haikou;

August 12, 19:30, Wuhan Three Town vs Beijing Guoan, Wuhan Sports Center Stadium;

August 13, 19:30, Henan Songshan Longmen vs Meizhou Hakka, Zhengzhou Navigation Stadium;

Hebei vs Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, Haikou Guanyonghu Soccer Base Stadium, August 13, 20:00

The adjusted four matches in Round 12 are:

August 11, 20:00, Hebei vs Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, Mission Hills Haikou Football Base;

August 12, 19:30, Wuhan Sanzhen vs Beijing Guoan, Wuhan Sports Center;

Guangzhou City vs Wuhan Yangtze River, Guangzhou Yuexiushan Stadium, August 13, 19:30

August 13, 19:00, Henan Songshan Longmen vs Meizhou Hakka, Zhengzhou Navigation Stadium.

The other five matches originally scheduled for Round 12 will be postponed to a later date. In addition, two matches originally scheduled for Round 16 have been rescheduled to Round 12.

The reason for this adjustment is the outbreak of epidemic in Haikou, the latest epidemic prevention policy stipulates that "leaving Haikou needs seven days and five inspections". Currently, six Chinese Super League teams are stranded in Haikou, including Cangzhou Lions, Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, Hebei, Shandong Taishan, Guangzhou and Chengdu Rongcheng, who returned to Haikou after participating in the East Asia Cup.

In fact, in the 11th round of the Chinese Super League, a total of eight teams played in Haikou. After the match between Shenzhen and Zhejiang, the two teams left Haikou successively. Due to the need to isolate and undergo a 7-day 5-day inspection at the base in accordance with the epidemic prevention requirements, the Shenzhen team was forced to postpone the match with Dalian Ren.

The CFF preparatory team conducted an in-depth study of the schedule and found that among the six teams stranded in Haikou, Hebei and Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, the two teams with their home stadiums in Haikou, were due to play a match in the 12th round, while the other four teams were due to play each other in the 16th round. Therefore, the CFF preparatory group arranged for these six teams to take the lead in the game. The reporter also learned that due to the Chinese Super League round 12 of five matches postponed, August 30 and 31 of the preparatory match day will also be activated.

At this point, it appears that in a week's time, these Super League teams will be able to leave the Haikou tournament depending on circumstances. However, it should be emphasized that the 13th and 14th rounds of the Super League and future matches may still face adjustments.

Although the schedule adjustments have inconvenienced some teams, almost all clubs are doing their best to cooperate. The two matches in the previous round, which allowed some fans to enter the stadium, created an enviable stadium atmosphere. Dalian People managed to draw with Shanghai Seaport, who played with three foreigners, despite missing 10 players and having skipper Xie Hui suspended for the match with a full Chinese squad. Henan Songshan Dragons also swept Beijing Guoan 3-0 in their return home game at the Maritime Stadium. We all know what a wonderful experience it is to have the home team's fans there to cheer, and how hard it is to come by such a home-and-away system.

About the epidemic in Haikou, the Chinese Super League fans concerned about another focus is the previous participation in the East Asian Cup back to Haikou to receive isolation of the national football selection team.

In the 11th round of the Chinese Super League, the international players of the National Football Selection Team did not participate in the match, which had a big impact on the teams, especially Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai Shenhua. Guangzhou's Jiang Guangtai and Wu Shaocong were the core of the team's defense, Shenzhen's Dai Weijun was the core of the team's midfield, and Shanghai Shenhua's strength was greatly reduced. The final performance of the three teams also suffered a considerable impact, Guangzhou and Shenzhen suffered a defeat, Shenhua relied on the team's strict defense, in the case of two fewer people played a tough draw Yatai.

Fortunately, looking at the adjusted schedule, at least for this round, all three teams will have their losses mitigated. Shanghai Shenhua and Shenzhen are delayed due to their matches, while Guangzhou is playing in Haikou, where Jiang Guangtai and Wu Shaocong can return to the team by then.

The home and away match system is the general trend, but the existing background, the recovery of the home and away match system is bound to go through a tortuous process, there is no perfect solution, each team has to bear different pressures, but also need to make the necessary sacrifices now or in the future. Fortunately, both the CFL preparatory team and the clubs are doing their best to escort the league.
