On a hot summer day, Shanghai Harbour Football Club came with heavy news: on July 28th, Beijing time, the team officially announced the signing of the striker from the Dutch Eredivisie, Issa Kallon, and the former Dalian international defender, Li Shuai.

After a friendly negotiation between the two sides, Dutch Eredivisie striker Issa Kallon has officially become a member of Shanghai Seaport.
The 26-year-old, who holds dual Dutch and Sierra Leonean citizenship, began his soccer career at the youth camp of Dutch Eredivisie club Vitesse.In the 2017-2018 season, Kallon joined FC Kemble, which was still in the Dutch Eredivisie B. In the 2020-2021 season, he was at the heart of the team and helped Kemble win the Dutch Eredivisie B title and successfully promote to the Dutch Eredivisie. In the 2021-2022 Dutch Eredivisie season, Caron shone, making 32 starts, scoring 5 goals and assisting 8 times, and scoring against Dutch Eredivisie champions Ajax. During his time with Cambuur, he made 156 appearances in all competitions, contributing 26 goals and 40 assists.
Kallon also excelled at all levels of the Dutch national youth teams, accumulating over 30 appearances from the U15s to the U20s. Eventually, he chose to join the Sierra Leone adult national team and participated in this year's Africa Cup of Nations.

The 27-year-old Li Shuai, who also comes from the youth system, began his career with Changchun Yatai FC. he played briefly for Mafra in Portugal from 2014 to 2015, and after returning to his home country, he joined Dalian Ren professional soccer club in 2016 and was selected for the Chinese national men's soccer team in 2019. During his time with Dalian Ren, Li Shuai has appeared in 111 matches, scoring two goals and assisting nine times. Last season, he appeared in 19 games, including 17 starts.
As a left-footed player, Li Shuai is able to play as a wingback and wingback, and his ability to get to and from the side is extremely strong, so I believe that his addition will bring more vitality to the left position of the Harbour team.
