Shanghai Shenhua prepares for new phase of Chinese Super League

On July 19, Shanghai Shenhua players ended their five-day vacation yesterday and regrouped in Kangqiao to prepare for the new phase of the Chinese Super League, which will start on August 5th, reports Weekly Shanghai. Among them, Wu Xi and seven other players missed the training due to reasons.

After the match against Wuhan Changjiang on July 12, Shenhua team disbanded in Dalian and took a vacation, but only a few players such as Bassogo, Bolaños, Qian Jie gave and Yang Xu returned to Shanghai with the team. After more than four months of closed-door training at the Kangqiao base since March 7, the players were eager to return home to their families as soon as the vacation was over.

Compared to other Chinese Super League teams, Shenhua's five-day vacation was shorter, but all the players returned to Kangqiao base on time to start a new round of preparation training. As usual, the first training session after the vacation was relatively easy, and the coaching team only arranged a simple body wake-up training.

Due to injuries, Wu Xi has not yet returned to the team, Zhu Jianrong and Qian Jie give are undergoing rehabilitation and are unable to participate in training. In addition, Zhu Chenjie, Jiang Shenglong, Wen Jiabao and Liu Ruowan vanadium with the national football selection team to participate in the East Asia Cup, is expected to return to the club at the beginning of next month.July 27, Zhu Yue, He Longhai, Jiang Zhixin will report to the U21 national football team, with the team to Croatia to participate in the second division league, until the beginning of November to return. Therefore, the coaching staff may draw a few players from the ladder team to supplement the first team to ensure the smooth progress of group confrontation training.

Xu Yougang and Cong Zhen, who did not enter the 35-man list in the first phase of the league, also returned to Kangqiao base yesterday and participated in team training. At present, the two are expected to be supplemented into the first-team list in the second phase of the transfer period.

In view of the current epidemic situation in Shanghai as well as the players experienced a four-month-long closed period, Shenhua team currently has no closed training program, but will use the walk training system.
