It seems that the "fear of Korea" has not yet been eradicated.
After the game, Korea's head coach Bento commented, "Overall, it was a pretty good game. We were absolutely dominant in possession and held the tempo throughout the game, scoring three goals. Although we thought we could have scored more, the final victory was very fair."
Bento went on to say, "China went all out on defense, but our offense eventually tore through their defense."
Immediately following July 24, South Korea will welcome Hong Kong, China, as their second round opponent in the East Asian Cup.
