As the morning dawns, there is heavy news coming from Brazil. Naturalized player Alan, who will turn 33 in July, finalized his decision to join Liga MX stalwart Fluminense on June 21st local time. The word La Liga is glittering, and Alan's joining will undoubtedly inject new vitality into this club. So far, except for Fernando, all the other naturalized players selected for the Chinese team have found a new home or stayed in the Chinese Super League to continue their journey, making them a special group of stayers in the history of soccer. However, the way the new Chinese men's soccer team will be formed and the future coaches are still unknown. Recall that on February 16th of this year, Guangzhou Football Club announced that it had terminated the contracts of five naturalized players of non-Chinese descent, including Alan. In the past six months or so, Gaolat, Ackerson and Lo Guofu found new positions in the Brazilian soccer scene. Allan, on the other hand, returned to Brazil after playing in this year's Top 12 tournament with the national soccer team. Unlike other naturalized players, Allan spent this time with his family, and sources close to the situation revealed that he was under tremendous mental pressure during the WC due to his children's health issues. Nonetheless, on the pitch, he has always shown professionalism and resilience.
After a few months of rest, Allan is ready to set sail again in professional soccer. It is reported that on June 21, Allan passed a medical examination arranged by Fluminense FC and signed a two-year contract until June 2024, according to the report.
For Allan, this transfer means a "homecoming". Alain played for Fluminense from 2008 to 2010, making 88 appearances and contributing 26 goals. His performances led to him being selected for the Brazilian national youth team and opened the door to the Europa League.
Alan was in tears at the conference after his return to his old club, saying, "I'm home, the emotion is indescribable, my family and I are very excited, it's a special moment and I hope to create glory here. A lot of people sent me messages after leaving Fluminense, the fans have always loved me dearly and I hope to repay them."
Mario Bittencourt, president of Fluminense FC, was also emotional: "I'm very happy to welcome Alan again, he scored against Porteno in 2009 when I was working in the soccer department, and since then we've built a good relationship and I'm happy to have him back here."
After Alan's transfer, the naturalized players in the original Guangzhou team, except for 29-year-old Fernando who has not found a new owner so far and Jiang Guangtai who stayed in the Guangzhou team, the other three have already found new jobs in the Brazilian professional league. Fernando, as the youngest player, has not been able to settle on a next home so far, which is confusing. He has not played in an official match for more than a year since leaving the national soccer team's Top 40 preparation camp in late May last year, and there is no way to talk about systematic training.
It is worth noting that Alan, Ackerson and Luo Guofu all expressed their willingness to continue to play for the national soccer team in interviews and are looking forward to participating in the Asian Cup.
