The sports media in Seoul, South Korea, has revealed a tragedy that has shocked the soccer world: the life of legendary former Iraqi international Haidar Razak has come to an abrupt end after an unfortunate encounter with an anonymous killer.

Iraqi News released a message on the 5th revealing the tragic event, "The 40-year-old footballing talent, Haydar Razzaq, recently passed away after being confronted by unknown assailants in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad."

Informed sources revealed that just on the 31st of last month, Haidar Razzaq was besieged by five assailants somewhere in Baghdad. He was beaten and seriously injured and subsequently rushed to a Baghdad hospital. However, due to severe injuries from skull fractures and internal bleeding, Haidar Razzaq ultimately failed to survive the life-and-death ordeal.

The exact motive for the attack remains a mystery. The passing away of Haydar Razzaq has left the Iraqi soccer community with the loss of an outstanding player. The Iraqi Football Federation (IFF) has expressed its deep condolences on the death of the former international footballer through official channels. Haidar Razzaq was the pride of Iraqi soccer, from his first selection for the national team in 2001 to winning the Asian Cup with the team in 2007, he interpreted the love and dedication to soccer with his actions.
