Below is the full official announcement from the club:
Dear friends who pay attention to and support Shanxi Longjin, in this bright spring day, we have to wave goodbye. After the CFA new season access audit, Shanxi Longjin Football Club unfortunately failed to get the license to participate in the competition, we have no choice but to declare the withdrawal of professional league, the end of our green journey, bid farewell to this hot land of Sanjin. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to friends from all walks of life for their concern, support and help as always! Although the time is short, but full of beauty, Long Jin warriors, this memory will always be remembered in the heart! At the parting moment, we have a few words from the bottom of our hearts to share:
First of all, we don't owe wages.
In the face of multiple challenges such as the epidemic, China's soccer is in the midst of a cold winter and many clubs are in trouble. Even so, Shanxi Longjin overcame a lot of difficulties last season and finally ended the season with a perfect sixth place in the league. Under the extremely difficult situation, we still insisted on people-oriented, and used all the more than 3 million yuan in the account to pay the team's salary, to ensure that the players' rights and interests are not damaged.
Secondly, we are in a difficult situation.
In the new season, we have prepared for the preparation of the Chinese B League and at the same time made preparations for the replacement of the Chinese A League, expecting to create a new chapter for Shanxi professional soccer. However, the reality gave us a heavy blow. When confirming the qualification, we failed to pay the deposit of 600,000 RMB on time due to financial difficulties. We immediately reported the situation to the FA and sought assistance from the Shanxi Provincial Football Association. Unfortunately, until April 25th, we still had not obtained the participation guarantee and finally lost the qualification.
Finally, we are deeply saddened.
Looking back on the past two years, Shanxi Longjin has been through thick and thin. We have quietly dedicated ourselves to Shanxi professional soccer, overcoming many difficulties and fighting in the snow, showing the fighting spirit and tenacity of Shanxi soccer. However, with the support of the local authorities, we have felt the coldness and alienation. At the moment when we needed the most help, we failed to obtain the participation guarantee, and this lack of soft environment made us feel doubly painful.
I would have turned my heart to the bright moon, but there is no way for the moon to shine in the ditch. Here, once again, I would like to thank all the leaders, sponsors, people from all walks of life and fans and friends who have supported Shanxi Longjin for more than two years; and I would like to thank each and every coach, athlete, and staff member for the club's dedication. I wish you all a bright future, may Shanxi soccer rise soon, we work together to guard the spring of the green field! May every parting be full of meaning and look forward to meeting again! Farewell!
