At the end of the half, Sun Guowen scored a long-distance shot, and Yan Xianggong further widened the gap; however, Li Tixiang's goal in the second half was ruled invalid, and Dalian People finally beat Guangzhou City with a score of 2-0.
As the match came to an end, Guangzhou City club officials lodged a strong protest against the National Football Association, pointing out that the personnel adjustments made by the Dalian people during the match had violated the rules of the Chinese Super League, and requesting that the Dalian people be ruled to have forfeited this match.

On June 8, 2022 at 19:30 pm, the 2nd round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) match between Dalian Ren and Guangzhou City kicked off at Wuyuanhe Stadium in Haikou.
In the 67th minute of the match, Dalian Ren made a substitution with Wu Wei (a non-U23 player) replacing Huang Jiahui, the only U23 player on the pitch. Immediately after, in the 69th minute, Dalianjin made another change to their lineup, with U23 players Wang Tengda and Zhao Jianbo coming on as substitutes.
It is worth noting that from the time Huang Jiahui was replaced to the time Wang Tengda and Zhao Jianbo came on the field, Dalian people did not have U23 players on the field. According to Article 10.9 of the 2022 Chinese Football Association Super League Regulations, "Each team shall keep at least one U23 player (a domestic player born on or after January 1, 1999 and not born in Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan) on the field in each match, unless injured, exhausted or penalized with a red card, etc.: The policy of U23 players' exemption and compensation shall be subject to the relevant notices of the Chinese Football Association. The relevant notice of the Chinese Football Association shall prevail. If a club violates the relevant regulations, the match will be treated as a forfeit, and the Disciplinary Committee of the Chinese Football Association will further penalize the club depending on the circumstances".
It is worth mentioning that before the start of the game, the National Football Association did not notify the Dalian People's Club about the U23 player reduction and compensation policy, therefore, our club expresses a strong protest to the Dalian People's failure to use the U23 players in accordance with the league rules and regulations, and now formally applies to your association to judge the Dalian People's game as a forfeit in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Chinese Super League.
