On June 4th, during the first round of the 2022 Chinese Super League match between Shanghai Seaport and Wuhan Changjiang, our player Xu Xin not only left the field with a red card, but also acted irrationally by destroying the match facilities.
This behavior not only damaged the image of the club, but also caused a bad impact on the whole Chinese Super League. We would like to express our deepest apologies to all the fans as well as the Dalian Region. At the same time, according to the team rules and discipline of Shanghai Seaport, we have made the following punitive measures to the player Xu Xin:
Criticize players internally for wrongdoing;
Players are asked to reflect deeply and write a self-review;
The player is ordered to pay full compensation for the damaged facilities and is fined personally accordingly.
Shanghai Harbour Football Club will further strengthen the match style and discipline, strict team management. We hope that all members will take this as a warning, discipline themselves, consciously maintain the positive image of the club, and work together to create a harmonious environment.
