You have a goal and you act on it, and that cohesion is always there, and no matter what difficulties we encounter, we will overcome them together. Even when the score was down, we all felt sure that we could come back, that's why there were so many times when we turned the game around against the wind. That's why there have been so many comebacks. Because we are all prepared, we have a way to cope with any difficulties we encounter. This kind of preparation is mental and physical, but also strategic and tactical.
What do you think makes a girl who plays soccer different?
Shanshan Wang:
I think girls who play soccer have a strong sense of self-confidence that the game brings to us. Every little girl around me says she likes the feeling of winning, and is the type that has a strong desire to win or lose.
I've heard that you're kind of quiet and shy in life, how does a person with this kind of personality compete to win or lose?
Shanshan Wang:
Yes, I'm a quiet person in life, I don't talk much, but when I'm on the field I'm different, I'll run and yell at the top of my lungs, and I'll be a completely different person. I love the feeling of running on the field.
Many young people now idolize you guys. Do you want to be like ICON?
Shanshan Wang:
Someone who can be an icon definitely has a lot to offer everyone. For example, many people like Crow, I see self-discipline in him because he always keeps his body in shape. I also like Messi because he doesn't care what distractions are around him, he only has the ball in his eyes. Even if the opponent violates him many times during the game, he will not argue with the referee, he only thinks about kicking the ball into the goal so that the mission is accomplished. Sister Na (Li Na) is also my idol, and she has managed to keep running 10 kilometers a day even after she retired. Every time I see them I think, so many good people are still working hard, what reason do I have not to work hard? Veteran players like us definitely have to take the responsibility of leading from the center in the team
