AFC Champions League: Shandong Taishan faces Daegu FC in revenge battle

With the bell ringing on April 27, the flames of the fifth round of the AFC Champions League group stage have been rekindled. Shandong Taishan is about to meet Daegu FC from South Korea. Looking back at the first round of the match, Shandong Taishan was unfortunately crushed by Daegu FC with a score of 0-7. In this rematch, Daegu's manager Gamma has vowed to beat Shandong once again in order to overcome their former shame.

Daegu FC are currently in second place in the group stage with seven points from two wins, one draw and one loss. Tied with Singapore Lions, they have two more key matches coming up against Shandong Taishan and Singapore Lions.

In the pre-match press conference, Daegu skipper Gamma said confidently, "It's a challenging group stage against Shandong and we know their strengths. We have to prove ourselves again and try to get all three points in this round."
