Reform dynamics of the new soccer league season

On April 6, 2022, according to Beijing Youth Daily, the first phase of the new season's Chinese Super League and Chinese League A matches will be played under a centralized match system amidst the new crown epidemic. On the premise of the epidemic prevention measures, we strive to gradually restore the home-and-away system. However, due to factors such as the limited financial strength of clubs, the Chinese Second League has confirmed that it will adopt the match system for the whole season.

Of particular note is the fact that the CFA and the CFL Preparatory Group have required clubs participating in the new season of the China B League to pay a deposit of 600,000 RMB on schedule prior to the tournament. This amount has been reduced by more than half from the 1.5 million yuan in previous seasons. If clubs have difficulty paying even such a low deposit, then naturally they will not be able to win the trust of the organizers.

At the professional league online working meeting on the 3rd of this month, the CFF preparatory team also announced that the U19 National Youth Football Team will definitely take part in the new season of the China B League, aiming to accumulate practical experience for the team to participate in the U20 Asian Cup qualifiers in the second half of the year. As in previous seasons, the National Youth Football Team will not participate in the elevation competition of this season's China B League. Even though the team will not be involved in the promotion and relegation process, the value of the workouts they will receive will still be significant in terms of the number and quality of matches played. Judging from their mid-to-low and mid-to-high rankings in the past two seasons in the Central League B, their participation will not harm the competitive quality of the league.
